PATHOLOGIST LEADS LECTURE ON BREAST BIOPSIES

Wilmington, North Carolina: September 21, 2004– Brian C. Shiro, M.D. presented a lecture on breast pathology and needle core biopsies to the Bard Company’s sales representatives at their summer sales conference in Chicago. The genesis of the presentation was based on a vacuum assisted breast biopsy device manufactured by Bard Company. This device provides a superb specimen for a rapid and accurate diagnosis by the pathologist. Because a greater amount of tissue is collected by the device it allows for accurate ancillary testing for estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors and other markers.
