Wilmington, North Carolina: June 4, 2007– Wilmington Pathology Associates is pleased to welcome Linda Ann Murakata, M.D. to its practice. Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, Dr. Murakata specializes in gastrointestinal and hepatic pathology. Dr. Murakata earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ and completed her residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. She completed fellowships in Hepatic pathology and GI pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington. Dr. Murakata has served in several branches of the U.S. Military, retiring from the Air Force in 2007 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
