NEW PATHOLOGIST JOINS WILMINGTON PATHOLOGY ASSOCIATES

Wilmington, North Carolina:  April 3, 2006– Dr. Katharine Liu, M.D. has recently joined Wilmington Pathology Associates, P.A.  Dr. Liu earned her medical degree from Duke University and is Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Hematopathology and Cytopathology.  She completed residency programs at University of California, San Diego and Duke University Medical Center.   Dr. Liu completed a fellowship in Hematopathology and Cytopathology – both at Duke University Medical Center.  Before joining Wilmington Pathology, Dr. Liu practiced pathology at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.   Prior to that she served as Assistant Professor of Pathology at Duke University Medical center and has published extensively in various peer reviewed journals.
