Dr. Olatidoye earned his medical degree from The University
of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill.
Prior to obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Olatidoye
earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science
degrees in Chemistry from North Carolina Agricultural
and Technical State University. He also has a diploma
in Medical Technology from St. Clair College of Applied
Arts and Technology in Windsor, Ontario Canada.
After medical School, Dr. Olatidoye (O-la-ti-do-ya) completed
his residency training at The University of North Carolina
Hospitals in Chapel Hill and subsequently completed fellowships
in surgical pathology and Cytopathology at the same institution.
He has held academic appointments at The University of North
Carolina School of Medicine, Duke University Medical Center
and The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville
where he served as an Assistant Professor of Pathology. Dr.
Olatidoye is a fellow of The College of American Pathologists.
When Dr. Olatidoye has time away from the laboratory,
he enjoys playing soccer, traveling and photography.
He is married to Dr. Constance M. Olatidoye, a Wilmington
Psychiatrist. Their home is always busy as they are
proud parents of two growing boys, Olufemi and Olajide.
Their favorite thing about living and working in Wilmington
is the pleasant year round temperature and the beach.
Dr. Olatidoye grew up in Nigeria, West Africa.
