Dr. Liu received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies from Duke University.  Continuing on with her education at Duke, she earned her Medical Degree and completed residency programs at the University of California, San Diego and Duke University Medical Center.  She completed fellowships in Hematopathlogy and Cytopathology – both at Duke University Medical Center.

Before joining Wilmington Pathology Associates, she practiced for six years at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.  Prior to that she served as Assistant Professor of Pathology at Duke University Medical Center and has published extensively in various peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Liu’s husband is a general surgeon at a practice in Jacksonville, NC and they have a three year old son.
